We are seeking a person who wishes to undertake a challenging role within a dynamic public company. This candidate will be involved with federal and state tax compliance, accounting and planning.
Will interface with corporate financial, legal, human resources, internal audit and corporate development departments as well as regional accounting and finance personnel.
Major Responsibilities
- Participate in federal and state income tax compliance, research and planning.
- Assist with federal and state income tax audits.
- Participate in the quarterly and year-end tax provision calculations.
- Responsible for calculation of quarterly estimated tax payments.
- Participate in special projects.
- Participate in tax planning for mergers and acquisitions.
- Participate in acquisition due diligence reviews.
- Responsible for internal maintenance of tax compliance software system.
- Interact with subsidiary financial personnel.
Key Selection Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required; CPA preferred.
- Strong technical tax analysis and reporting skills and experience.
- Knowledge of federal and state income tax principals.
- Ability to effectively research Federal, state and international tax issues in a web-based environment.
- Good communications, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to successfully interact with all levels of operating and corporate personnel.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with CorpTax, Hyperion Enterprise, SAP and Oracle a plus.
Ideal Experience
- 3 to 5 years of federal and multi-state income tax experience.
- International tax exposure.
- Experience in preparing FAS 109 tax provision calculations.
- Sarbanes-Oxley 404 experience.
